On one of the hottest days of 2020, I hosted a natural light portrait photography workshop with Fujifilm Australia and George's Cameras. It was so much fun getting to meet everyone who attended and to share my tips when it comes to capturing portraits. Claudia, our model for this workshop kept it cool as a cucumber and you'd never tell it was a 40 degree celsius day with high winds in her photos. Lidija J did hair and makeup and styling was by me!

I was shooting on the Fujifilm X-T4 which is an APSC camera with 2 lenses. The first shots in the pink dress were on the XF 23mm f1.4. The rest of the photos were on my favourite Fujifilm lens, the XF 50mm f1.0.

We concluded the day with a Lightroom tutorial out on location where I edited 3 photos taken from the afternoon shoot.

My friend Will took the beautiful behind the scene photos of the day on the Fujifilm X100V! Make sure to check out his wedding photography, he is a super talented photographer.

If you enjoyed this blog post, you might want to check out another photoshoot I did with Claudia where we experimented taking portraits with 2 extreme apertures of f1.2 vs f16.
