Unlike our first day in Prague, on day 2 Dan and I managed to wake up at sunrise. Since we are here in the middle of summer, it gets extremely busy during the day. In order to be able to capture photos of the city, we need to get up as early as possible! The bonus side to having quiet streets is early in the morning, you also have beautiful soft light to work with as well.

On day 1 Charles Bridge was a sea of people. On day 2, we had it almost all to ourselves, it was amazing! I had so much fun taking photos on my 85mm at dusk the day before (see Part 2 for those photos!) that I wanted to take my GM 85mm f1.4 out with me again for day time photos. This time I am focusing on capturing cityscapes of Prague. I love the compression of an 85mm for city photos, it brings the landscape towards you and makes it look magical.

Please watch my vlog from my time in Prague to see the behind the scenes of me taking all these photos. And please subscribe to my YouTube channel if you haven't already. I upload new photography videos every single week.
