The Tamron 35mm f1.8 is a budget friendly, small and lightweight lens for Canon cameras. For this real world portrait photography review, I am using this lens on the full frame Canon 5D mkiv. During out portrait photoshoot, we take photos around the streets of Sydney against different textures and lighting conditions to test the performance of the Tamron 35mm f1.8. I’ve previously used the Tamron SP 35mm f1.4 lens which I was very impressed by and this budget version is no exception.

Watch the behind the scenes video below to see unedited, 100% crops of the photos and to hear my thoughts about the lens. Please subscribe to my channel if you haven’t already, I upload a new photography related video every week!
